Estrace vaginal cream is contraindicated in:
- hypersensitivity to the drug components;
- pregnancy;
- breastfeeding;
- severe liver diseases;
- kidney failure;
- benign and malignant tumors of the pituitary;
- hemorrhagic or ischemic stroke;
- thromboembolism or acute thrombophlebitis;
- uterine bleeding of unknown etiology.
Dosage and duration of Estrace vaginal cream use are determined by the doctor after thorough gynecological examination.
Mode of Estrace vaginal cream application:
- measure the prescribed dose of Estrace vaginal creamm using graduated applicator,
- take one of the positions (lying on your back with your knees bent, while sitting or standing) in which you will be able most comfortably to get to the vagina. Carefully insert Estrace vaginal cream deep into the vagina and press out the whole cream from the applicator,
- take to pieces the applicator and wash them with mild soap solution and rinse with water. Dry the applicator so that it is completely dry for the next use.
Estrace vaginal cream is usually used once a day, it is desirable at one and the same time. If you miss the dose of Estrace vaginal cream and very few time remains to the next application, you should skip this dose in order to avoid the drug overdose.
In the case of Estrace vaginal cream overdose can occur the following symptoms: drowsiness, vomiting, vaginal bleeding) as well as in the allergic reactions, such as urticaria, difficulty breathing, swelling of face, lips, tongue or throat, immediately seek medical attention.
