Generic Estrace

Generic Estrace is a drug, identical to endogenous hormone. It is used in the lack of estrogen in the body as well the conditions and diseases, caused by estrogen deficiency. They include different menopause symptoms (hot flashes, vaginal dryness, atrophy) osteoporosis after menopause, as well as in oncology in the treatment of breast cancer, prostate cancer and urogenital disorders. Generic Estrace is not a birth control means and does not prevent either pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.

Generic Estrace is supplied in the form of coated tablets as well as transdermal and vaginal cream.

Any dosage form of Generic Estrace should be prescribed by the doctor after thorough medical examination of a patient. It is better to start treatment with a minimum dose of Generic Estrace with subsequent increasing as needed.

Generic Estrace should be taken every day during the whole treatment course, not depending on food intake. It is desirable to take Generic Estrace tablets at one and the same time to achieve the maximum effect. Daily dose of Generic Estrace (in tablets) is taken at once with some water. If you skip the pill and there is little time for your next dose, it is better to miss this dose in order not to cause the overdose.

Symptoms of Generic Estrace overdose are vaginal bleeding, nausea and vomiting. In the case of overdose, immediately stop taking the medication and undergo symptomatic therapy. Generic Estrace use should be also discontinued in a significant increase of blood pressure, icterus occurrence, the appearance of visual impairment and migraine pain.

Side effects of Generic Estrace generally are mildly pronounced and occur as a rule, in the first months of the use and quickly go away.

Contraindications to Generic Estrace use are hypersensitivity to its components, pregnancy, breastfeeding, acute period of severe liver and kidney diseases, hemorrhagic/ ischemic stroke.
